It has been a great year and soon it will once again time for the Louisiana Tech Alumni Band Homecoming Celebration. Over the last couple years, the band has once again become a fixture of the homecoming festivities. It has proven a great way to reunite many old friends and musicians past and present. This year we hope to see you there as well!

Homecoming is October 13, 2007 in Ruston. Mark your calendars! Tech will face the New Mexico State at 6pm. We will join the Tech Band on the student side of the stadium to cheer our team to victory. Even if you have not played your instrument since graduation, you are welcome and encouraged to join us. (We will try to have instruments available for everyone that needs one). All Tech family and friends are invited as well!  We try to keep this kid friendly so everybody can come.

TICKETS!  Those PLAYING with the Alumni Band (MARCHING into the stadium with Tech Band) will be able to get into the game FREE. Tech Band will be entering the field from the North endzone just prior to pre-game. Everyone NOT PLAYING in the Alumni Band must purchase a ticket.  Everybody age 3+ must have a ticket.  Jeff will have reduced  ($8) tickets for anybody that wants one.   You can get them during the tailgating event from 12:00 - 3:00 pm on Saturday. Those playing in the Alumni Band will sit inside the Tech Band set. Everyone not playing, will sit in Section QQ ABOVE the Tech Band.  Tech Band has moved to Section Q (south end, East side, by the steps).

Hotels/lodging for out of town guests will be your responsibility. Hotel rooms will be scarce, so you are encouraged to call ahead and soon (!)

We are excited because the game this year starts at 6:00 PM instead of 3:00, so there will be more time for tailgating and visiting. It should be a lot easier day for most of us. Look for our Alumni Band Banner when you get to the stadium and "Come and Get It".  Please pre-order your food so that we can get a reasonable headcount. We want to make sure we have plenty for everybody. Also to keep the price down, we ask that each family bring chips or dessert to share with everybody. We will supply main course and drinks.

To make a strong showing at the game, the Alumni Band will be wearing the official Louisiana Tech Band Alumni Shirt. These will be the official LA Tech blue t-shirts with “LA Tech Band Alumni” prominently displayed on the 3-color front and 3-color back. Shirt designs are exactly the same as previous years, so if you bought one last year, you already have what you need. Due to cost constraints, please pre-order shirts. There will be no extra shirts printed! There are no dates on these shirts, so it is our hope to wear them for years to come. If you plan to PLAY or SIT WITH the Alumni Band, you WILL need a Band Alumni shirt.
