Presenters and Moderators

Thank you for your willingness to share your expertise with other NASFAA members. The information below will provide you with helpful information as you plan your presentation.

What to Expect

  • Dependent upon topic and room assignment, session rooms will either be set theater-style or a mix of classroom and theater. Peer-to-Peer session rooms will be set in rounds. All rooms will have microphones, a screen, and a projector. Please note that presenters must supply their own laptop.
  • Sessions may be recorded and available to conference attendees as Executive Summaries at no additional cost. Non-attendees may be able to purchase the session recordings and/or summaries.
  • All presenters and moderators must register and pay to attend the conference.

Session Prep

As a reminder, please upload your session handout for your session no later than June 5. To upload your handout, please visit your Speaker's Corner page and then select the session title of the session where you wish to upload a handout. If you upload your handout by June 5, you are not required to bring handouts to San Diego. If you miss the deadline, you must bring 150 copies of your handout.

All handout submissions should meet the following requirements:

  • Presentations should use the NASFAA 2017 Conference Presentation Template
  • Recommended PDF format is handouts, with at least 2 slides per page.
  • All presenters are to combine their presentations into one handout.
  • File type must be Adobe PDF (.pdf); Powerpoint presentations should be saved as a PDF before uploading.
  • Filenames should use the following format: NASFAA17_LastName (of moderator or person uploading the file). For example: NASFAA17_Sponholtz.pdf
  • Uploaded files must be no larger than 6 MB.
  • All handouts will be included on the mobile site with their corresponding session(s), and indexed on the NASFAA site.
  • All handouts should be uploaded using the Speakers Corner no later than June 5. Handouts become available on the mobile site the following day. Handouts will also be indexed on the NASFAA site.

Note: If you do not plan to upload your handout or do not have one, we suggest you still upload a one page document stating this. Otherwise attendees may assume you have not uploaded the information yet and it can cut down on the questions you receive.
