HOMECOMING 2009 All ticket, tailgating, and schedule information that we know at this point is included below.
EVERYONE including family, children, and friends are invited to all events. Please include your extra guests when counting attendees and pre-ordering to allow us to better plan events. Unlike band as you remember it, in Alumni Band ALL EVENTS ARE OPTIONAL! Please just share with us what you plan on attending. TICKET and STADIUM SEATING INFORMATION!!!
TAILGATING 2009 Where are we going to be this year????!!! Our original tailgating spot is no more. It has been taken over by the track and Campus Security Detail. Our new spot is located at the far end of the Student Side (East) seating by the field house and tennis courts. Look for the Alumni Band banner. Tailgating will be from Noon-2:00. We will need to be eating about 1:00. Tech Band will be lining up at 1:00 at the field house to meet the team buses. Tailgating will cost you a mere $5 per person (kids age 3 and under free). This price has not increased in a decade! To do this, we once again ask you to bring your favorite bag of chips or cookies to share with everybody. This works well. The main course hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage, water, and sodas will be provided. We are expecting quite a turnout! Got your Alumni Band Shirt?

7:00 PM - Pizza Inn - This is Alumni Band Tradition. We like to EAT! Come by and see everyone. We will have the back room. Stay as long as you like. Bring your families. Pay for your own buffet. TBD PM - Tech Pep Rally Thomas Assembly Center - We have been invited to play for this. If you are interested, please let me know. Tech Band will be performing. Go watch.
8:00 AM - Alumni Band Rehearsal Band Building Large Hall. Please be on time. Pass out music, instruments, and shirts. Go over schedule and goals for Alumni Band. Go through warm-ups and music. Those who are NOT playing in the Alumni Band, you might want to watch the Tech Band rehearse in the stadium. 9:00 AM - On-field Practice Alumni Band meet Mr. Robken in the stadium for On-Field Pre-Game Alumni Formation. You must be at this rehearsal if you want to go out onto the field with band during Half Time. NOON - 2:00PM - TAILGATING! - At the Stadium. Location: By the tennis courts (think east side of field house). Delicious! Bring friends and family, but PLEASE prepay (registration form) $5 per person + bring your favorite snack or dessert to share with everybody. Main dish and drinks to be provided. EAT @ about 1:00. 1:30 PM (ESTIMATE TIME)- Lineup for Pep Rally and Game Tech Band and Alumni Band line up at stadium for game. Alumni Band will be part of the Tech Band marching block. We will march with Tech Band to Pep Rally and President’s House before entering the stadium with Tech Band. Put cases and extra personal items in stadium before you line up. 3:00 PM - Game Time (See ticket information at the top of this page!) Alumni Band member PLAYING with the Tech Band will enter the stadium with Tech Band and sit with the Tech Band. Everyone else will need a ticket and can pick a section close to the band. Be prepared for any weather condition. It could be hot or cold. We will be FACING the SUN though so be ready for that!
